Work claims more victims around the globe than war – 2.3 million workers die every year from occupational accidents and disease. Global Sustainability Standards board has made a decision to start work on the revision of reporting for this important area.

Discussion at the meeting of 50-60 delegates centred on improving proactive leading indicators and reporting in the disclosures which were perceived as being weak in the current regime. The delegates were advised that ISO 45001 standard would help organizations wishing to demonstrate their commitment to occupational health and safety performance and their leadership and commitment.
